DNI is organising a series of webinars within the framework of a new initiative called the DNI Academy.
The first webinar will be on “CONTINGENCY PLANNING FOR THE REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT OF DUST DISASTER RISKS”. The keynote speaker will be Prof. Ali Darvishi Boloorani, Associate Professor at the University of Tehran.
Dust disasters have become a growing concern in recent years, with significant impacts on human health, the environment, and infrastructure.
Contingency Planning for the Reduction and Management of Dust Disaster Risks is an essential component in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals and communities exposed to hazardous dust phenomena.
The aim of this seminar is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the importance of dust disaster risk management and reduction, as well as contingency planning. During this seminar, various approaches to dust disaster risk mapping/assessment, management and reduction, such as identifying potential hazards, assessing the vulnerability of different regions, and implementing preventative measures will be discussed.
The webinar will be on the 14th of July 2023 at 12.00 CEST via Zoom.
