What is UNFF 16?

The event will include technical discussions on the UNFF’s thematic priorities, a high-level roundtable, and presentations of documentation and subsequent general discussions.

The session will be a technical session and is thematically linked to UNFF 17 in 2022, which will be the policy session. UNFF 16 is expected to consider and adopt the proposed programme of work of the Forum for 2022-2024, as contained in Annex II of ECOSOC resolution 2020/14, by means of a resolution. Consultations on the resolution will be conducted virtually and/or through correspondence prior to UNFF 16. The UNFF 16 provisional organisation of work is available here.

The virtual informal meetings of the UNFF will be held on the remote simultaneous interpretation platform “Interprefy”. The virtual meetings will have interpretation in the 6 official UN languages. The deliberations will also be broadcast on UN Web TV at http://webtv.un.org/
